The Bank of East Asia, Limited (BEA) granted 6.64 million share options on 10 April 2026 under its 2021 Staff Share Option Scheme.
The options carry an exercise price of HK$13.90 per share, matching the market close on the grant date. Subject to performance and risk-adjustment conditions, the options will vest in three equal tranches exercisable between April 2027 and April 2034.

Performance-linked vesting conditions include potential forfeiture for actions that negatively affect group profitability or breach internal controls. A clawback mechanism allows the board or remuneration committee to recover gains derived from the options in cases of misstatement, fraud or malfeasance.
Scheme capacity The 2021 scheme permits up to 145.95 million shares. Following this grant, 89.29 million shares remain available, leaving 61.18% of the mandate unused. The current scheme expires on 5 May 2026; adoption of a new 2026 share option scheme will be tabled at the upcoming annual general meeting.
