The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released a draft of the National Humanoid Robot Industry Standard System Construction Guide (2026 Edition) for public consultation, according to the announcement.
This initiative aims to implement the National Standardization Development Outline and the Guiding Opinions on the Innovative Development of Humanoid Robots, with the goal of strengthening systematic planning for humanoid robot standardization. The move is designed to leverage standards in guiding cutting-edge technological innovation and regulating market order, thereby driving the high-quality development of the humanoid robot industry.
By 2028, the plan targets establishing a scientific, coordinated, and comprehensive standard system through innovative standard development models. It calls for the formulation of at least 100 key standards covering humanoid robot capability testing and evaluation methods, core technologies, platforms and systems, application scenarios, and safety governance. Additionally, more than 200 enterprises are expected to participate in standard implementation and promotion, providing solid support for the sector's high-quality growth.
