Samsonite Group S.A. repurchased 1.36 million ordinary shares on 20 May 2026 through the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, paying a total consideration of HKD 19.75 million. The shares were bought at prices ranging from HKD 14.32 to HKD 14.64, equivalent to a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 14.51 per share.
The transaction represents 0.10% of Samsonite’s issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) as at the start of trading on 19 May 2026. Following the buyback, issued shares outstanding (excluding treasury shares) declined to 1.380 billion, while treasury shares increased to 86.03 million. Total issued share capital remains unchanged at 1.466 billion shares.
The repurchase forms part of the mandate approved on 3 June 2025, which permits the company to buy back up to 138.31 million shares. To date, 6.73 million shares—0.49% of the share count at the time the mandate was granted—have been repurchased under this authority.
Under Hong Kong listing rules, Samsonite is restricted from issuing new shares or transferring treasury shares for 30 days following the latest buyback, setting a moratorium period that lasts until 19 June 2026.
