According to statistics released on October 8 by the Fuzhou Airport Immigration Inspection Station, during the 2026 National Day holiday, the Fuzhou airport port handled a cumulative total of more than 34,400 entry and exit passenger trips and over 230 flights, with the single-day peak occurring on October 6, reaching more than 5,200 passenger trips.
On October 2, officers from the Fuzhou Airport Immigration Inspection Station processed clearance procedures for outbound passengers.
During the National Day holiday, mainland residents departing through the Fuzhou airport port totaled more than 12,000 passenger trips, representing a year-on-year increase of approximately 5.1%. Outbound travel was mainly for tourism and family visits, with popular Asian routes to Singapore, Malaysia, and Bangkok maintaining high seat occupancy rates.
With the optimization of the 240-hour transit visa-free policy and the 24-hour transit immigration clearance exemption policy, combined with the return-home visiting flow brought by Fujian's advantages as a hometown of overseas Chinese, family visits, tourism, and business became the main purposes of entry. During the National Day holiday, the Fuzhou Airport Immigration Inspection Station facilitated the entry of more than 2,500 foreign passenger trips, among which 900 visa-free foreign passenger trips were recorded.
Since the beginning of this year, Fuzhou Airport has added three new international passenger routes, to Dili in Timor-Leste, Manila in the Philippines, and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. As of now, Fuzhou Airport has 17 international and regional passenger routes, covering 14 countries and regions.
According to a responsible person from the Fuzhou Airport Immigration Inspection Station, in order to actively respond to the holiday passenger flow peak, the station made scientific forecasts, promptly released information on port entry and exit passenger flows, adjusted police deployment in a timely manner, dynamically adjusted the ratio of inspection channels, and strengthened front-end guidance capabilities. At the same time, it made full use of the immigration affairs service station to provide travelers with one-stop convenient services including fast-track registration and collection, policy consultation, entry and exit record inquiries, and temporary entry permit processing. During the National Day period, through big data to accurately predict passenger flow peaks, flexibly allocate inspection channels, and establish an information-sharing mechanism with airlines, airports, and other port joint inspection units, the station made every effort to create a safe, efficient, and smooth port clearance environment.
