Regulator Approves NCI's Plan to Issue Up to RMB 10 Billion in Perpetual Capital Bonds

On August 19, the National Financial Regulatory Administration issued an official approval, granting New China Life Insurance Company Ltd. the green light to publicly offer perpetual capital bonds on the interbank bond market. The total issuance scale is capped at RMB 10 billion, inclusive of the full amount.

This approval enables the insurer to raise funds through a debt instrument with no fixed maturity date, a move designed to bolster its capital base and enhance financial resilience. The issuance will take place across the nationwide interbank bond market, as confirmed by the regulator's latest statement.
