Energy Vault Holdings, Inc. has announced the appointment of Nitin Dahiya to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Dahiya joins from BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, bringing over two decades of experience in institutional investing, corporate finance, and capital markets.
Prior to joining Energy Vault, Dahiya served as a Senior Portfolio Manager and member of the Investment Committee within BlackRock's Direct Private Opportunities division, where he was responsible for structured finance transactions in the energy, infrastructure, private credit, and specialty finance sectors. His career also includes tenures at other prominent financial institutions such as Paulson & Co., KLS Diversified Asset Management, Nomura, and Lehman Brothers/Barclays, amassing extensive experience in strategic investment, capital allocation, mergers & acquisitions, and institutional capital raising.
Robert Piconi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Energy Vault, stated that Dahiya's deep background in institutional investment and capital markets will help the company enhance capital efficiency and expand institutional investor relations as it builds its global energy infrastructure platform. Dahiya is set to officially assume his role on July 27, 2026, succeeding the departing CFO, Michael Beer.
This appointment comes during a period of rapid business expansion for the company. Energy Vault has recently secured multi-gigawatt-hour independent power projects in Australia, completed the acquisition of an 850-megawatt independent power asset portfolio in Japan, and won contracts for artificial intelligence computing infrastructure projects in the United States. The company will release its second-quarter financial results on August 11, at which time it plans to discuss in detail the growth of its contract backlog and the positive impact on its 2026 financial outlook.
