Prudential cuts 9.48m shares in Jun-26 buy-back, keeps float above 25%

Prudential plc reported its Monthly Return for the period ended Jun, 30 2026, confirming a net reduction of 9.48 million ordinary shares through on-market repurchases and cancellations during the month. The company’s outstanding share count fell to 2.511 billion from 2.520 billion at the end of May.

A further 0.79 million shares bought back on Jun, 29–30 have yet to be cancelled. No treasury shares were held at month-end, and Prudential reiterated that it remained in compliance with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s 25% public-float requirement.

There were no new ordinary shares issued under the group’s share option schemes in June, although exercises under various plans raised about 0.44 million Singapore dollars. No activity was reported for warrants, convertibles or other share-issuance arrangements.

Prudential’s authorised share capital remains not applicable, as the company does not have an authorised share capital.
