The Fuzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce has announced an expansion of its subsidy program for smart home product purchases, with individual items now eligible for a maximum subsidy of 1,500 yuan. This initiative aims to further stimulate consumer spending in the smart home sector.

The updated policy, which takes effect from the date of this announcement (subject to the actual launch date on the UnionPay app platform) and runs until December 31, 2026, broadens the scope of eligible products. The program will conclude early if the allocated subsidy funds are exhausted, as determined by the Fuzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce.
Expanded Product Categories
Initially, the subsidy covered five categories: smart toilets (including smart toilet seats), smart fitness equipment (treadmills and ellipticals), smart massage chairs, smart cleaning robots (smart vacuum cleaners, floor washers, and window-cleaning robots), and ventilators. The new announcement expands support to include five additional product categories: digital cameras (including action cameras), smart range hoods, smart gas stoves (including integrated stoves), smart dishwashers, and smart clothes dryers. Additionally, the coverage of the existing smart massage chair category has been optimized to include smart sofas.
Subsidy Details
For individual consumers purchasing any of the five newly added smart home products, a 15% subsidy will be applied to the final sales price after all discounts are deducted. Each consumer is eligible for a subsidy on one item per product category, with a maximum subsidy of 1,500 yuan per item. For purchases of smart massage chairs (including smart sofas), a 15% subsidy also applies to the final sales price after discounts. Each consumer can receive a subsidy for one item within this category, but subsidies cannot be claimed for both a smart massage chair and a smart sofa. The maximum subsidy for this category also stands at 1,500 yuan per item.
