Convenience Store Chain Yesway Sets IPO Price at $20 Per Share to Raise $280 Million

Convenience store operator Yesway plans to raise $280 million through an initial public offering (IPO). The company intends to issue 14 million shares at a price of $20 per share. This pricing represents a change from its prior plan to offer 13.95 million shares within a price range of $20 to $23 per share. Based on the number of shares outstanding disclosed in its filings, this pricing values the company at approximately $1.2 billion.

Yesway is scheduled to list on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker symbol "YSWY." Backed by the Boston-based private equity firm Brookwood Financial Partners, Yesway initially filed for an IPO in 2021 but withdrew its plans the following year after rising interest rates effectively shut down the IPO market.

The company is known for its food service offerings, diverse grocery selection, and private-label products. In 2019, Yesway acquired the convenience store chain Allsup's, which is famous for its fried burritos. According to regulatory filings, as of December 31, the company operated 448 stores across nine U.S. states and has agreed to sell 29 of those locations by the end of this year.

The filings also show that BW Ultimate Parent LLC, the Fort Worth, Texas-based parent company of Yesway, reported a net profit of $54 million on revenue of $2.7 billion for the full year 2025. This compares to a net profit of $24 million on revenue of $2.5 billion for the same period a year earlier.

Stocks in the convenience store sector have gained popularity on Wall Street in recent years, driven by their defensive characteristics and value-oriented food options. This year, several publicly-traded convenience store companies have seen their share prices rise, with Caseys General Stores (CASY) up more than 41%, Murphy USA (MUSA) rising over 27%, and Arko Corp. (ARKO) gaining more than 45%.
