The National Bureau of Statistics released data on August 9, showing that in July, the national consumer price index (CPI) rose 0.5% year-on-year. This represents a 0.5 percentage point decrease in the rate of increase compared to the previous month, primarily due to a moderation in the growth of gasoline prices.
On average, from January to July, the national consumer price index was 0.9% higher than the same period last year.
