MA Financial Group Ltd's stock price soared 5.10% during intraday trading on Tuesday, reflecting a significant positive market reaction.
The surge follows the company's release of its first-quarter operating update, which reported a 44% year-on-year increase in assets under management (AUM) to AU$14.8 billion. While total AUM was down 3% over the quarter, this was largely due to the previously flagged sale process of the Marion shopping center, which is expected to have an immaterial impact on 2026 revenue.
Further strengthening investor sentiment, the update highlighted robust performance in its lending business. Finsure managed loans grew 27% to AU$179 billion over the year to February 28, with the company reporting record gross monthly loan applications of AU$11 billion in March.
