Williams-Sonoma's stock surged 5.00% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the release of its first-quarter fiscal 2026 financial results.

The home furnishings retailer reported quarterly earnings of $1.93 per diluted share, a 4.3% increase from $1.85 a year earlier and beating the analyst consensus estimate of $1.80 to $1.82. Net revenue rose 4.4% to $1.81 billion, also surpassing expectations of approximately $1.79 billion. The company attributed the performance to a 4.8% comparable brand revenue growth across its portfolio.

Furthermore, Williams-Sonoma reiterated its full-year fiscal 2026 guidance, projecting net revenue growth in the range of 2.7% to 6.7% and an operating margin between 17.5% and 18.1%. This display of confidence in its outlook, coupled with the earnings and revenue beat, fueled positive investor sentiment and the subsequent stock price increase.
