Prudential reports latest share repurchase and capital reduction

Prudential plc announced that on Apr, 01 2026 it repurchased 351,297 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange for a total consideration of about GBP 3.79 million, paying between GBP 10.70 and GBP 10.89 per share.

The company cancelled 390,805 shares on the same day, trimming its issued share capital to 2,527,336,159 ordinary shares from 2,527,726,964 shares.

As at Apr, 01 2026, Prudential plc also held an additional 736,700 repurchased shares pending cancellation, comprising 385,403 shares bought on Mar, 31 2026 and 351,297 shares bought on Apr, 01 2026.

Under the repurchase mandate approved on May, 14 2025, Prudential plc is authorised to buy back up to 262,668,701 shares. Following the latest transactions, the company has repurchased 79,846,312 shares under this mandate, representing about 3.07 % of its issued share count at the date of the mandate.

The company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until May, 01 2026.
