According to media reports citing unnamed officials, the Japanese government is considering revising the phrasing related to monetary policy within its key economic and fiscal policy blueprint, known as the "honebuto" or Basic Policy on Economic and Fiscal Management and Reform.
The reports indicate that the potential revision is being contemplated because investors interpreted the wording in a prior draft as the government applying pressure on the Bank of Japan.
