SDIC Securities released a research report stating that it recommends continued attention to supply chain demand and new technology changes, according to Wise Finance APP.

The brokerage noted that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and six other authorities jointly issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the New Battery Industry," calling for accelerated breakthroughs in the industrialization technology of all-solid-state batteries.

The policy establishes the strategic positioning of solid-state batteries at the national top-level, which is expected to significantly boost the investment confidence of industrial capital, automakers, and the supply chain, and accelerate the rollout of solid-state batteries.

Top-Level Plan for the 15th Five-Year Period Lands, Breakthroughs in Solid-State Battery Industrialization Technology Expected to Accelerate

On September 28, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and six other authorities jointly issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the New Battery Industry," which calls for strengthening research on frontier and generic technologies, enhancing collaborative process innovation, accelerating breakthroughs in the industrialization technology of all-solid-state batteries, and laying out next-generation battery systems.

The brokerage believes the policy establishes the strategic positioning of solid-state batteries at the national top-level, clarifies the main lines of industrial research and medium- to long-term goals, and is expected to significantly boost the investment confidence of industrial capital, automakers, and the supply chain, thereby accelerating the rollout of solid-state batteries.

Industrialization Expectations Strengthen, Solid-State Batteries Expected to Be Installed in Vehicles by 2027

Solid-state batteries are expected to be installed in vehicles by 2027. Recently, BYD said it will launch its first mass-production model equipped with solid-state battery technology next year. In addition, the chairman of Chery also said the company plans to carry out vehicle installation verification for all-solid-state batteries in 2027. The brokerage believes that if solid-state batteries are installed in vehicles in 2027, considering the pace of solid-state vehicle installation verification, the rhythm of solid-state battery sample verification plus vehicle installation verification plus equipment bidding is expected to accelerate.

Overseas Solid-State Race Intensifies, Optimistic on Domestic and Overseas Resonance in the Solid-State Industry

According to the Qidian Solid-State Battery WeChat public account, in September 2026, Panasonic said it would start sampling all-solid-state batteries in the fourth quarter of 2026. The first batch of all-solid-state battery samples from Panasonic Energy is small in size, with a diameter of about 1 cm, and uses button or prismatic form factors. They are mainly aimed at applications with harsh operating environments such as industrial machinery and onboard sensors. In July 2026, Samsung SDI said its target of mass-producing all-solid-state batteries in the second half of 2027 remains unchanged, and the company plans to begin delivering samples to leading humanoid robot customers in the second half of 2026, entering mass-production preparation immediately after completing customer product verification.

Solid-State Battery Race Makes Equipment Makers the Key to Breaking Through

The brokerage believes that overseas battery companies and automakers are increasingly stepping up research and investment in the solid-state battery field, and solid-state battery equipment makers are expected to benefit at the core, with industrial progress continuing to advance: 1) Lead Intelligent: in the second quarter of 2026, the company continued to secure core orders from leading domestic and overseas battery companies and automakers, and solid-state equipment represented by dry-process coating continued to iterate, with its industry and technology gaining recognition from leading lithium battery manufacturers; 2) Lyric Robot: the company has successfully mastered the manufacturing process for complete all-solid-state battery production line equipment, and the all-solid-state battery complete-line project provided to a leading enterprise has completed delivery and achieved the customer's phased goals, realizing a leap from laboratory technology to pilot line; 3) United Winners Laser: the company has provided an all-solid-state battery assembly line to a leading customer and is currently in the trial production stage.

Investment Advice

It is recommended to continue paying attention to supply chain demand and new technology changes. Core equipment companies include Lead Intelligent, United Winners Laser, Lyric Robot, Naknor, Hangke Technology, HZ Technology, Xianhui Technology, Manst, and Hymson, among others.

Risk Warning: New energy vehicle sales may fall short of expectations, solid-state battery technology research and development may fall short of expectations, and industry competition may intensify.
