A total of 65 companies from the city have been listed on the 2026 Hebei Province Advanced Intelligent Factory roster, as announced recently by the provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.
This recognition highlights the significant progress made by local enterprises in smart manufacturing, and it is expected to encourage more manufacturers to accelerate their digital transformation and intelligent upgrades, injecting strong momentum into the city's high-quality industrial economic development.
The selected 65 Advanced Intelligent Factories include: the large-diameter spiral submerged arc welded pipe collaborative manufacturing smart factory at Huayou Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.; the Cangzhou Longtaidi Pipeline Technology Co., Ltd. 5G+ Smart Factory; the biaxially oriented nylon film manufacturing smart factory at Cangzhou Donghong Film Technology Co., Ltd.; the Hebei Pengbo Communication Equipment Co., Ltd. Smart Factory; the Cangzhou Junchi New Material Technology Co., Ltd. integrated management (Batch) smart factory; the Dongfeng Cable Group Co., Ltd. digital IoT smart factory; and the smart factory at Cangzhou Geruite Drill Bit Co., Ltd. These span sectors such as green chemicals, equipment manufacturing, new materials, wire and cable, and communication equipment, demonstrating a strong industrial clustering effect.
Smart factories represent a key direction for the digital transformation and upgrading of manufacturing, and are essential for companies to enhance competitiveness and achieve sustainable development. In recent years, the city has actively implemented the strategic plan of "intelligent transformation, digitalization, and networking," guiding enterprises to accelerate modernization through digitalization.
At the same time, the city has strictly adhered to a four-tier smart factory gradient cultivation mechanism ranging from "basic level" to "advanced level," "excellent level," and "pioneer level." This involves targeted application guidance for enterprises at different development stages, organizing industry experts to conduct full-process assessment and diagnostics at production sites against smart factory evaluation standards, and providing precise, large-scale services to empower the digital transformation of the manufacturing sector.
To date, the city has accumulated 102 provincial-level Advanced Intelligent Factories. Moving forward, the municipal industry and information technology departments will continue to deepen the gradient cultivation of smart factories, selecting more provincial-level Advanced Intelligent Factories to build, actively striving to create "Excellent" level smart factories, and pushing smart factories to higher levels. This will accelerate the digital transformation and intelligent upgrade of the city's manufacturing sector, solidifying a foundation for high-quality industrial economic development.
