BJ's Wholesale Club Exceeds Earnings Expectations, Shares Rise

BJ's Wholesale Club Holdings, Inc. reported quarterly adjusted earnings per share of $1.10, surpassing the FactSet consensus estimate of $1.03 per share. The company's stock price increased by nearly 1%.

The financial report indicated that comparable club sales grew by 6.3%, while membership fee revenue rose 9.9% year-over-year to $132.4 million. During the reporting period, the company opened one new club and six new gas stations.

BJ's Wholesale Club reaffirmed its full-year earnings per share guidance in the range of $4.40 to $4.60, which is largely consistent with the FactSet consensus estimate of $4.51.
