BASICSEMI (09971) extended its gains, rising over 4% to hit a new all-time high. As of the latest trading, shares were up 4.08% at HK$62.50, with a turnover of approximately HK$10.91 million.

On August 4, BASICSEMI announced a strategic partnership with Hannytech Technology. The two companies will accelerate the development and mass production of 8-inch Silicon Carbide (SiC) wafers, building on their existing collaboration. They will also jointly research new compound semiconductor processes and application technologies.

Public records show that in April this year, Hannytech Technology, together with World Advanced, completed a trial production run for an 8-inch SiC wafer production line. The line is planned to have a monthly capacity of 1,500 wafers, with mass production targeted for the second half of 2026. Currently, BASICSEMI operates a 6-inch SiC wafer manufacturing base in Shenzhen Guangming. This partnership is expected to help BASICSEMI fill the gap in its 8-inch SiC wafer capacity, rapidly advancing its terminal market expansion.
