Geo Energy Resources' stock surged 6.56% during pre-market trading on Monday, following the announcement of significant corporate developments.
The price movement comes after the company revealed that Resource Invest AG will make a substantial minority investment in its PT Marga Bara Jaya (MBJ) unit at a valuation of US$1.5 billion. The investment is targeted to comprise an initial tranche in the third quarter of 2026, with the remainder scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
Concurrently, Geo Energy has entered into a binding term sheet to form a marketing joint venture with ResInvest Commodities. This partnership aims to generate higher returns through the sales of the group's PT Triaryani coal, providing an additional catalyst for the stock's positive performance.
