Viavi Solutions' stock surged 5.09% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the announcement of a significant software upgrade from its unit Inertial Labs.
The company's subsidiary Inertial Labs launched PCMasterPro 1.16 software for 3D terrain and surface modeling, specifically designed for RESEPI remote-sensing payload systems. The new release offers enterprise-scale processing with performance gains of up to 200% compared to previous versions, which could significantly enhance the company's competitive position in the remote sensing market.
The software upgrade also expands export formats, supporting colorized point-cloud workflows for digital-twin production, potentially opening new revenue streams and applications for Viavi Solutions' technology portfolio.
