The 14th National Insurance Publicity Day, themed "Advancing the '15th Five-Year Plan' with Insurance Confidence," has commenced. Under the guidance of the Xinjiang Financial Regulatory Bureau, the Xinjiang Insurance Association and the Xinjiang Insurance Institute are leading member companies in a series of public welfare activities. These initiatives combine online outreach with offline events to bridge the gap between the insurance sector and the public, integrating financial literacy into daily life.

Six Key Themes Highlight Insurance's Public Service Role

Member companies are focusing their promotional efforts on six core areas. These include preventing illegal financial activities and combating "black and grey industries" in finance, showcasing the industry's role in regional disaster prevention and mitigation through risk reduction, and promoting insurance's support for national technological advancement, the pension system, and inclusive insurance for new urban residents. Additionally, campaigns highlight agricultural insurance's contribution to rural revitalization, demonstrating the sector's commitment to national strategies and public welfare.

Bringing Financial Knowledge Directly to the People

Throughout the campaign period, the Xinjiang insurance industry is organizing on-site promotional activities in bazaars, villages, commercial districts, schools, and tourist spots. On June 30, a joint seminar titled "National Insurance Publicity Day – Integrity and Financial Culture on Campus" was held with Xinjiang University of Finance & Economics and China Continent Property & Casualty Insurance Co., Ltd.'s Xinjiang branch, aiming to instill professional ethics of compliance and integrity in young students.

In Hotan, industry representatives visited villages to deliver financial knowledge directly to residents' doorsteps, enhancing risk awareness and supporting rural revitalization. The insurance sector in Shihezi conducted financial literacy sessions for enterprises to safeguard business operations and employee asset security. In Hami, visits were made to social welfare institutions to share insurance knowledge and convey care.

Furthermore, 34 member units organized a large-scale event at Wanda Plaza in Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone. The event featured six themed exhibition areas, using engaging interactive experiences and accessible knowledge sharing to improve consumers' financial risk prevention capabilities, making the information easy to understand and remember.

Illuminating Landmarks to Showcase Industry Responsibility

Coinciding with Xinjiang's peak tourism season, the insurance industry is leveraging popular cultural and tourist landmarks for visibility. Theme posters and promotional content for the National Insurance Publicity Day are being displayed on outdoor large screens at locations like the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar and the CCMALL Times Square in Urumqi's core business district. This approach significantly expands the campaign's reach and enhances public recognition of the event.

Interactive Quizzes Foster Public Engagement

The Xinjiang insurance industry is actively participating in the "A Little Red Flower" insurance knowledge public welfare quiz, an initiative launched by the Insurance Association of China in partnership with Tencent Charity. Industry professionals are encouraging consumers to take part in the online quiz, promoting insurance literacy and public welfare concepts. Participants who complete the quiz can activate a special "Insurance Knowledge Little Red Flower" status on their WeChat profiles.

The industry intends to use the National Insurance Publicity Day as a springboard to integrate these concentrated promotional efforts with ongoing initiatives against illegal fundraising, fraud prevention, and routine insurance education. The goal is to continuously improve service standards and forge a trustworthy, reliable, and compassionate industry image, providing a solid foundation of confidence for all communities.
