On the first day of the Qingming Festival holiday, Snow Motors' Beijing store was bustling with customers. Following Snow Motors' double championship victory, a large number of users flooded the brand's official live stream, leading to several limited-edition merchandise items selling out. There have also been new developments regarding test drives for the championship-winning 820RR model, which has attracted significant outside attention. A visit by our team to a Snow Motors store in Beijing revealed that the company organized a test drive event on April 5th in the city's East Fourth Ring Road area. Models such as the ZX500F, ZX820RR, and ZX500RR were showcased. Store staff indicated that the test drive event would last for two days, with many people already signed up, resulting in waiting times for test drives. Several motorcycle enthusiasts who test drove the ZX500RR on-site commented that the riding experience was quite thrilling with strong acceleration power. They noted that it performs comparably to Kawasaki models but is significantly more affordable. According to store employees, recent orders have surged dramatically. Approximately 20 to 30 vehicles were reserved before the championship win. In the week following the victory, around 70 additional units were ordered, averaging about 10 sales per day.
The "double championship model" requires a three-month wait for delivery. "Once an order is placed, the factory begins production scheduling," a staff member explained. Currently, placing an order means the retro-style ZX500F is available immediately, while the sportbike ZX820RR will not be deliverable until July, requiring a 3,000 yuan deposit. The ZX500RR is expected to be available by the end of May, with a 2,000 yuan deposit. Customers purchasing the ZX820RR must present a driver's license at delivery, with a mandatory requirement of at least one year of riding experience.
The standard version of the 820RR is already known as the "double championship model." Founder Zhang Xue previously explained in a video that the track version of the 820RR uses the same key components as the production model—including the engine, brake discs, suspension, calipers, and wheels—with modifications only made to the exhaust, cooling system, and instrument panel to meet racing regulations. The 820RR is the model that garners the most attention from riders. However, the store visited currently does not have a test drive unit available. When asked when the 820RR would arrive, staff replied that the timing remains uncertain due to high demand and limited supply. Aside from test drive demonstration models, the store also had a white ZX500R reserved by a customer. Staff mentioned that this customer placed an order on March 21st, the vehicle had arrived a few days prior, and a second batch was expected soon. Snow Motors launched the 820RR model on March 21st this year—a triple-cylinder sportbike with aggressive specifications and a clear requirement for riders to have at least one year of experience on a beginner's license. Regarding the recent surge in attention for Snow Motors, store employees noted that orders exploded immediately after the 26 new models were launched on March 21st, even before the championship victory, with many customers already placing orders. Following Snow Motors' double victory in the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) WorldSSP class at the Portuguese round on March 29th, customer traffic at the stores doubled. It is important to note that Snow Motors' only online sales channel is its official mini-program; no complete motorcycles are sold on other e-commerce platforms. On March 1st, 2026, Snow Motors partnered with JD.com, offering interest-free purchase policies at the time, but that collaboration has since ended. Currently, the Snow Motors flagship store on JD.com only sells spare parts, not complete motorcycles. One motorcycle enthusiast who test drove the ZX500RR described the riding experience as thrilling with strong acceleration. Another tester, who previously rode a Kawasaki motorcycle, commented that the ZX500RR is "adequate and pretty cool," adding that it is comparable to Kawasaki and can compete with the Kawasaki ZX-4R, while being much more affordable. Several testers at the store expressed interest in trying the ZX820RR once a test unit becomes available.
Although Snow Motors has been established for only two years, it has already become a standout company in the motorcycle industry. Thanks to its founder's dramatic rags-to-riches story and impressive performances in top-tier races, the brand has quickly become a favorite among investors. Public records show that in 2013, Zhang Xue, born in Huaihua, Hunan, traveled alone to Chongqing with just 20,000 yuan. He earned his first capital by posting modification tutorials on motorcycle forums and selling bikes. In 2017, he co-founded Kyo Motors, growing annual sales from 800 units to 30,000 units. After leaving Kyo Motors, Zhang established Snow Motors in Chongqing in April 2024, naming the company after himself. In September of the same year, he launched the first model, the 500RR, at the Chongqing Motorcycle Expo, with the first deliveries starting in March 2025. At the 2026 Brand Partners Conference, Zhang disclosed company performance data: Snow Motors achieved a total output value of 750 million yuan in 2025, with R&D investment reaching 69.58 million yuan, accounting for 9.33% of sales revenue. The company reported a loss of 22.78 million yuan during the same period. Snow Motors is considered to be following a typical "strategic loss" approach, reinvesting substantial profits into research and development. Founder Zhang Xue recently revealed that the company has experienced explosive growth in orders, with sales of the 820RR model increasing by 200% and the 500RR model seeing nearly 100% growth. He has set a target for 2026 of selling 60,000 units and achieving an output value of 1.8 billion yuan. Given current market enthusiasm, achieving these goals appears optimistic. He estimates that the company will reach breakeven when annual sales reach between 1.5 billion and 2 billion yuan. In July of the same year Snow Motors was founded, Gosin Capital, through its fund Shanghai Gosin Lingzhi Venture Capital Partnership, became the exclusive angel investor, injecting 20 million yuan for approximately a 9.17% stake. Subsequently, in January 2026, Zhejiang Venture Capital Group, under Zhejiang Provincial State-owned Capital Operation Co., Ltd., completed a Series A investment in Snow Motors through its Hangzhou Zhechuang Baige and Jinhua Zhechuang Jinyi Zhikong funds. The total investment amounted to 90 million yuan, acquiring a combined stake of approximately 8.26%. Among the investors, listed company Hongchang Technology is one of the limited partners in the fund, contributing 29.82% of the capital and holding an indirect stake in Snow Motors. Following Snow Motors' championship victory, Hongchang Technology's stock price rose by a cumulative 43.99% over two consecutive trading days on March 30th and 31st. Based on these figures, Snow Motors' valuation has reached 1.09 billion yuan. The angel investor, Gosin Capital, has seen a paper return of five times its initial investment. Industry observers also suggest that following the championship win, the 1.09 billion yuan valuation may still be conservative.
