Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bull 3x Shares (SOXL) soared 12.93% in overnight trading, as a landmark semiconductor cooperation framework between Korean and US tech giants ignited a rally across the chip sector.
The surge was driven by news that Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and US companies including NVIDIA and Broadcom reached a chip cooperation framework agreement valued at approximately $950 billion. SK Group will supply $750 billion in long-term advanced memory chips to US firms, with bilateral cooperation between SK Group and NVIDIA exceeding $500 billion, covering HBM memory supply and AI data center co-development. Meanwhile, Samsung signed a five-year $200 billion memorandum of understanding with Broadcom for advanced memory and sub-2nm foundry services.
As a 3x leveraged ETF tracking the thirty largest US-listed semiconductor companies, SOXL amplified the broad market optimism fueled by this historic deal, which signals deepening alignment between Korean memory chip leadership and US AI computing demand.
