PLS Group Ltd's stock soared 5.28% during intraday trading on Friday, driven by a series of positive operational and financial updates from the Australian lithium miner.

The company reported an 86% year-on-year increase in its third-quarter spodumene concentrate production to 232,436 dry metric tonnes, significantly surpassing market estimates. Quarterly revenue reached A$567 million, demonstrating robust financial performance. Furthermore, PLS Group reaffirmed its full-year FY26 guidance for all metrics, providing confidence in its annual targets.

Additional catalysts included the securing of up to A$38.1 million in grant funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency for its Mid-Stream Demonstration Plant, which has now commenced commissioning with first product expected in the September quarter of 2026. The company also executed an offtake agreement with Ningbo Ronbay New Energy Technology for lithium phosphate from the plant. Management addressed potential investor concerns by stating it does not expect any material disruption to operations from ongoing geopolitical tensions and does not foresee immediate supply constraints for key inputs.
