Zhongyu Energy repurchases 2.00 million shares for HKD 5.67 million, treasury stock rises to 25.50 million

Zhongyu Energy Holdings Limited disclosed that on 19 May 2026 it bought back 2.00 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The repurchase was executed within a price range of HKD 2.81–2.87 per share, resulting in an aggregate outlay of HKD 5.67 million. The shares were retained as treasury stock; none were cancelled.

After the transaction, issued shares outstanding (excluding treasury stock) fell from 2.72 billion to 2.72 billion, representing a marginal reduction of 0.07%. Treasury shares increased from 23.50 million to 25.50 million, while total issued shares remained unchanged at 2.75 billion.

The buy-back forms part of the mandate approved on 2 June 2025, which authorises repurchases of up to 277.18 million shares. To date, 25.50 million shares—equivalent to 0.92% of the outstanding share count at mandate approval—have been repurchased under this authority.

In line with Hong Kong listing rules, Zhongyu Energy is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until 18 June 2026.
