Shandong Province has launched a new initiative to streamline intellectual property protection services, addressing key bottlenecks to enhance government efficiency. The province's Market Supervision Administration, in collaboration with the Department of Justice and the Big Data Bureau, has issued the Implementation Plan for Integrated Intellectual Property Protection Services in Shandong.

The reform focuses on four core areas: funding applications, rights protection assistance, geographic indication usage requests, and dispute arbitration submissions. These services will be consolidated under a unified system, allowing for single authentication, one-window processing, and full online access. The goal is to minimize required documentation, reduce processing times, and simplify procedures, thereby boosting convenience and satisfaction for businesses.

The plan outlines a dual-track approach, combining online and offline channels. Online, the integrated services will be fully accessible through the "One-Stop Service" section of the "Ai Shandong" platform, leveraging deep data sharing on business information, workflows, and results to enable end-to-end processing. Offline, dedicated service windows will be set up within existing government service halls, offering a one-stop reception point. A standardized provincial Service Guide and Application Form template will also be introduced, ensuring uniform procedures and consistent service quality across the region.

This reform represents a concrete step by Shandong to implement national directives on efficient service delivery, optimize the business environment, and stimulate innovation among market entities. Moving forward, the Market Supervision Administration will use this initiative to deepen cross-departmental collaboration, refine processes, and enhance data sharing, aiming to close the final gap in the full-chain IP service framework. This effort is expected to inject new momentum into building a strong IP province and supporting high-quality economic development across Shandong.
