The first satellite manufactured in Xiong'an New Area has successfully launched into orbit, marking a significant milestone for the region's aerospace ambitions.
On August 19, the "Xiong'an One" satellite, also known as the Hongqing Technology Hongque 03 satellite, completed its launch mission with all systems operating normally. The separation of the satellite from the rocket, its entry into the predetermined orbit, and the deployment of its solar panels all proceeded flawlessly.
Thousands of miles away, the Hongqing Technology Satellite Intelligent Operation and Management Center in Xiong'an New Area received the first batch of telemetry data in real time. Zhang Zilong, the center's director, expressed excitement over the successful data reception, noting that the company has now achieved a complete closed loop from satellite manufacturing to satellite management.
The intelligent management platform, which went live simultaneously with the satellite's entry into orbit, operates on a core model of "AI autonomous management with human-in-the-loop supervision." During routine operations, AI agents independently handle satellite health monitoring and simulate optimal operational plans, efficiently managing high-volume repetitive tasks. Meanwhile, human oversight ensures AI reasoning processes are monitored throughout, with human decision-making reserved for high-risk, irreversible maneuvers such as orbital adjustments, effectively balancing large-scale operational efficiency with the safety and control of space assets.
With the Hongque 03 satellite now officially connected to the platform, its in-orbit measurement data will continuously feed back into model training and algorithm optimization. Hongqing Technology stated that this on-orbit validation will serve as a foundation for refining its capabilities in mega-constellation space-ground integrated intelligent control, laying solid technical groundwork for the future routine operation of a 10,000-satellite constellation.
