Standard Chartered PLC (STANCHART) disclosed that on 20 August 2026 it repurchased 374,775 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange and CBOE Europe (BXE and CXE) at prices ranging from GBP 21.39 to GBP 21.66, spending GBP 8.08 million in aggregate. All repurchased shares are intended for cancellation; none will be held as treasury stock.

These purchases form part of the authority granted at the 7 May 2026 AGM, which allows for the repurchase of up to 221.63 million shares. Since that mandate became effective, STANCHART has bought back 28.82 million shares, equivalent to 1.30 % of the share capital in issue at the time of the resolution.

The company’s issued share capital remains unchanged at 2.19 billion shares, as the latest repurchases—together with 1.47 million shares bought between 17–20 August—await formal cancellation.
