Industrial Profits Surge 18.7% in First Half of Year, Signaling Steady Growth and Emerging Momentum

Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on July 27 reveals that China's industrial production maintained steady progress during the first half of the year, with new growth drivers accelerating.

From January to June, the total profits of industrial enterprises above the designated size reached 3,947.99 billion yuan, marking an 18.7% year-on-year increase. This growth rate was 3.2 percentage points faster than the first quarter.

Operating revenues for these enterprises totaled 69.26 trillion yuan, a 6.5% increase year-on-year, which was 1.5 percentage points higher than the first quarter. In June alone, profits of industrial enterprises above the designated size grew by 15.1% year-on-year.
