China Coal Energy Company Limited (601898.SH) has released its semi-annual report for 2026, showing the company achieved operating revenue of RMB 73.136 billion during the reporting period, a decline of 1.8% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached RMB 8.149 billion, reflecting a 5.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
After deducting non-recurring gains and losses, the company's net profit totaled RMB 8.544 billion, up 11.7% year-on-year, while basic earnings per share stood at RMB 0.61. The company plans to distribute a dividend of RMB 0.184 per share (tax inclusive).
During the first half of the year, China Coal Energy worked diligently to ensure the quality and safety of energy supply. Despite facing challenges such as complex geological conditions, the coal business closely followed market demand, utilizing data-driven models to enhance production-sales coordination and improve operational efficiency. Self-produced commercial coal output reached 61.95 million tonnes, with sales volume hitting 61.42 million tonnes, while the average calorific value of thermal coal rose by nearly 200 kcal compared to the previous year.
The chemical business maintained safe, stable, and efficient operations. Even with scheduled major maintenance on some units, output of major chemical products totaled 3.02 million tonnes, an increase of 30,000 tonnes year-on-year, with efficiency and profitability maintaining industry-leading levels. The power business strengthened unit operation management, generating 8.62 billion kWh of electricity, up 830 million kWh year-on-year. The coal mining equipment segment continued to enhance its integrated and intelligent capabilities, achieving equipment production value of nearly RMB 4 billion.
