On August 25, the "Agricultural Product Wholesale Price 200 Index" registered 115.65, marking a slight increase of 0.05 points from the previous day, according to monitoring data released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

The "Vegetable Basket" product wholesale price index reached 116.20, up 0.06 points from yesterday. As of 2:00 PM today, the national average wholesale price for pork stood at 16.30 yuan per kilogram, reflecting a 0.4% rise from the prior day.

Beef prices averaged 68.40 yuan per kilogram, down 0.2% from yesterday, while mutton climbed 0.3% to 65.90 yuan per kilogram. Eggs increased by 0.8% to 10.90 yuan per kilogram, and white-striped chicken saw a 1.1% uptick, reaching 17.11 yuan per kilogram.

Among the 28 key monitored vegetable varieties, the average price slipped 1.9% to 4.57 yuan per kilogram, while the six key fruit varieties dropped 2.0% to an average of 6.69 yuan per kilogram. In the aquatic sector, crucian carp fell 1.5% to 20.03 yuan per kilogram, carp declined 0.6% to 14.16 yuan per kilogram, silver carp edged down 0.1% to 10.51 yuan per kilogram, and large hairtail decreased 1.3% to 43.22 yuan per kilogram.

Among the 46 key monitored fresh agricultural products in domestic wholesale markets, the top five price gainers compared with yesterday were watermelon, bighead carp, white-striped chicken, eggs, and garlic sprouts, with increases of 5.9%, 1.9%, 1.1%, 0.8%, and 0.6%, respectively. Conversely, the top five decliners were Kyoho grapes, oyster mushrooms, pumpkin, lotus root, and winter melon, which fell by 7.9%, 4.1%, 3.7%, 3.3%, and 3.2%, respectively.
