Data from China Railway reveals that national railway freight volume reached 2.015 billion tonnes in the first half of the year, representing a year-on-year increase of 1.8%.

This year, the introduction of "passenger-train style" express freight services has enhanced the quality and efficiency of rail transport. These benchmark services, with top speeds reaching 120 kilometers per hour, are precisely tailored to meet the demand for fast logistics in sectors like e-commerce and cold chain, thereby supporting the development of a national unified market.

The first half also saw the establishment of a national multimodal transport development alliance. The scope of integrated "one-stop" services for rail-water and rail-road transport has expanded. Multimodal transport, with railway trunk line services at its core, saw its total logistics volume surge by 87.9% year-on-year.

Furthermore, the 95306 logistics platform has attracted over 200,000 trucks. This allows truck drivers to receive orders directly from the railway system, bypassing the need for third-party logistics companies to assign tasks.

In the first six months, "door-to-door" integrated logistics contract shipments reached 1.194 billion tonnes, helping clients reduce costs and improve efficiency. Meanwhile, the China-Europe Railway Express operated 11,178 trips, a 20% increase from the same period last year, facilitating smoother domestic and international economic circulation.
