QHD Port (03369) released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance Report, detailing operational and sustainability milestones achieved in the final year of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan.
• Operational Performance – Total cargo throughput reached 432.50 million tonnes, a 4.48% year-on-year increase and a new historical high. – Coal throughput rose 3.93% to 217 million tonnes; iron-ore volume grew 3.26% to 162 million tonnes. – Revenue came in at RMB 6.99 billion, while total profit edged up 5.16% to RMB 1.998 billion.
• Technological Investment – R&D spending expanded to RMB 1.81 billion, or 2.59% of operating revenue, supporting 26 scientific research projects and 30 new patent grants. – Coal Terminal Phase V became the first dry-bulk facility in China to pass a “Four-Star” smart-port assessment, and the Qinhuangdao central warehouse obtained dual “Five-Star” and “Green Warehouse” certifications.
• Climate & Environmental Metrics – Clean-energy utilisation reached 95% of total energy mix; green power purchases totalled 3.57 billion kWh. – Total GHG emissions were 383,450 tCO₂e (Scope 1: 7,192 t; Scope 2: 376,259 t); the Ninth Branch obtained a carbon-neutrality certificate via green-power coverage and carbon credits. – Environmental-protection capex amounted to RMB 269 million, with full ISO 14001 certification across six major production units. – Hazardous waste generation stood at 225.67 tonnes, all disposed of in compliance; no environmental incidents were recorded.
• Safety & Workforce – Safety investment totalled RMB 833.57 million; zero fatalities and zero major accidents were reported. – All 8,348 employees are covered by social insurance, with 100% participation in occupational-health examinations. – Training coverage reached 100%, averaging 41 hours per employee, supported by RMB 78.70 million in training expenditure.
• Governance & Compliance – The board-led three-tier ESG governance structure supervised material-issue management and climate-risk oversight. – The company passed ISO 37301 compliance-management certification and reported no corruption cases or information-disclosure penalties.
• Community & Rural Revitalisation – QHD Port invested RMB 5.69 million in targeted rural-revitalisation projects and organised more than 4,200 volunteer service hours during the year.
Looking ahead to 2026—the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan—the board pledges to accelerate construction of “smart, green, safe and efficient” port facilities and further embed ESG metrics into corporate strategy.
