Sunpower Group Ltd. said on May, 12 2026 that independent director Wang Dao Fu has resigned for personal reasons, effective immediately.

Wang’s exit also ends his roles as chairman of the Nominating Committee and member of the Remuneration Committee.

Following the resignation and earlier departures of Yang Zheng and Yee Chia Hsing on Apr, 29 2026, the board and its Audit, Nominating and Remuneration committees no longer meet several Singapore Exchange Listing Rules and Code of Corporate Governance provisions that require minimum numbers of independent, non-executive directors.

The board plans to appoint new independent directors within two months, and in any event no later than three months, to restore compliance.
