On August 11, enforcement officers from the Ningyang County Market Regulation Bureau in Shandong Province conducted a special medical device inspection at eyewear retail stores in the area. The inspection focused on optometry diagnostic equipment such as computerized refractors, with officers verifying the medical device registration certificates and periodic metrological calibration records on-site.

The officers also reviewed whether the equipment ledgers and usage and maintenance logs were complete and standardized, and carefully checked whether the instrument labels and factory documentation were complete and valid. They informed business operators about relevant regulations governing the operation of medical devices and the management of measuring instruments, urging them to take responsibility for compliance, regularly calibrate their optometry equipment, and ensure that substandard instruments are not put into use.

These measures aim to precisely guarantee the accuracy of customers' refraction data during eyewear fitting, effectively protecting public eye health and safety.
