Recently, the Kunming Public Resources Trading Center announced a tender plan for the Zijun Village Community Senior Care Complex Project (EPC), with an estimated contract value of 10 million yuan. This move signifies the substantial advancement of senior care facility upgrades in Xinjing Community, Yiliu Subdistrict, Guandu District. Located within the Juyuan residential area of Zijun Xinjing Garden in Xinjing Community, the project will undertake comprehensive upgrades and renovations of Buildings 20 and 21, covering a total area of 3,911.04 square meters. This includes 2,092.20 square meters for Building 20 and 1,818.84 square meters for Building 21. The renovation will establish core functional zones, including a community care center, a daytime care center, a rehabilitation and home nursing station, cultural activity spaces, and meal assistance service points. Supporting infrastructure upgrades will also be implemented concurrently, such as the renovation of water, electricity, and gas pipelines and the installation of elevators. The facility will be equipped with senior care devices, including nursing beds, age-appropriate furniture, and barrier-free facilities, to comprehensively meet the living needs of the elderly population. The tender scope encompasses the entire design process, from conceptual and preliminary design to construction drawing design, as well as full-cycle services, including equipment procurement, construction, final inspection and acceptance, project archiving, and defect rectification during the warranty period. The project is scheduled for completion and operational launch by December 2026. As a significant initiative in Kunming's promotion of community-embedded senior care services, the Zijun Village Community Senior Care Complex in Guandu District aims to revitalize underutilized community spaces to create a "one-stop" senior care service hub. This effort is intended to support the development of a 15-minute community senior care service network.
