During the National Day holiday, while many people were enjoying time off and gathering with family, factories across Zibo continued to operate with machinery roaring and production lines moving.

On October 7, reporters learned from the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology that 1,980 industrial enterprises above designated size in the city kept production going throughout the holiday, and the industrial economy operated in a stable and orderly manner.

At Shandong INOV Polyurethane Co., Ltd., some production lines ran continuously and scheduling proceeded in an orderly way according to plan, making every effort to guarantee supply to domestic and international markets and to honor contracts. In the workshops, products such as high-resilience polyurethane, rail transit elastomers and cold-chain insulation materials were produced in an orderly manner, and plastic track materials used for building campus sports grounds in China were also being produced at full pace. A responsible person from the company said that during the holiday they coordinated work on safety production, quality control and employee rotation and rest, reasonably arranged holiday shifts and ensured stable and orderly production and operations. After the holiday, they will continue to focus on the main business of new polyurethane materials and steadily advance project construction and market supply.

As a backbone enterprise in the field of new glass materials, Shandong Jinjing Science & Technology Stock Co., Ltd. focuses on products such as ultra-clear float glass, photovoltaic glass and energy-saving architectural glass, which are widely used in fields including new energy, high-end construction and automobile manufacturing. Glass furnaces are high-temperature continuous production facilities and cannot be shut down and cooled at will. During the holiday, the company dynamically adjusted its production plan based on market orders, giving priority to customized products when orders were sufficient and normally producing general glass products during order gaps, so as to ensure the stable operation of the furnaces and continuous production of the production lines to the greatest extent and achieve stable output and supply guarantees during the holiday.

Workshops that never paused and production lines that kept running supported the solid foundation of the city's industrial economy during the holiday. Looking at key industries and enterprises across the city, petroleum processing, basic chemicals and pharmaceutical manufacturing are mostly continuous-production industries and basically maintained normal production during the holiday. Key enterprises such as Qilu Petrochemical, Dongyue Group and Shandong Refractories Group kept production going during the holiday, providing strong support for the city's industrial base.

During the holiday, the peace of mind on residents' dining tables depended on the quiet commitment of enterprises involved in people's livelihood. Yide Dairy and Qiaoxifu Food kept production going during the holiday to ensure market supply; Lihua Flour took a break from October 1 to 2 and produced normally during the rest of the holiday. Enterprises in industries such as textiles, papermaking, machinery manufacturing and electronic information flexibly arranged production during the holiday according to order needs. In textiles, Hengli Textile and Yinshilai Textile continued production; in papermaking, enterprises such as Oumute Paper and Bohui Paper did not stop work during the holiday; in machinery manufacturing, enterprises such as Geely New Energy and Daya Metal stayed on the production front line; and in electronic information, enterprises such as Xinhenghui Electronics also did not stop work. Based on their own production characteristics and order needs, enterprises in various industries scientifically coordinated production and leave, which both efficiently ensured the delivery of market orders and took into account employees' balance between work and rest.
