MEDBOT-B Surges Over 4% at Open, Touts Milestone of Over 300 Global Orders for Toumai System

Shares of MEDBOT-B (02252) opened sharply higher, gaining over 4% in early trading.

As of the latest update, the stock was up 4.23% at HK$22.2, with a turnover of approximately HK$2.41 million.

The company announced a significant milestone regarding its core product, the Toumai laparoscopic surgery robot.

The global commercial order volume for Toumai has now surpassed 300 units.

Notably, the number of new orders received in the first half of this year has already exceeded the total for the entire previous year, marking another major achievement in its commercialization.

Overall, the group's cumulative orders for its core products, including endoscopy, orthopedics, and vascular intervention systems, have approached 400 units.

The company is rapidly expanding its global footprint, with the Toumai system now commercially installed and in use in over 60 countries and regions.

This scale of commercial deployment, coupled with leadership in remote surgery technology, has positioned Toumai's brand influence among the top two globally.

Since the beginning of this year, Toumai has entered more than ten new countries or markets, including Saudi Arabia and South Korea.

Furthermore, market access has been secured in over 40 additional countries, with commercialization efforts set to follow.

Emerging markets continue to show robust growth momentum.

For instance, cumulative orders in India have exceeded 30 units, while the Brazilian and Argentine markets have each secured close to 20 orders.
