Emperador Inc. (EMI) announced on Apr, 14 2026 that it will guarantee the refinancing of an existing loan of wholly-owned subsidiary Emperador International Ltd. through a new sustainability-linked loan facility amounting to 300 million euros.

The facility is being arranged by a group of lenders with Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A. (Singapore Branch), Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited and DBS Bank Ltd. acting as mandated lead arrangers, underwriters and bookrunners, while Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria and Bank of China serve as sustainability coordinators.

As an SLL, the loan carries two key performance indicators: reducing Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse-gas emission intensity and increasing the use of renewable electricity across the company’s operations.

Chairman Andrew L. Tan stated that the financing both delivers financial flexibility and reinforces the group’s commitment to sustainable operations.

EMI manufactures and distributes brandy and single-malt whiskies through facilities in the Philippines, the United Kingdom, Spain and Mexico, with distribution in about 100 countries.
