Agricultural Wholesale Price Index Edges Up 0.16 Points on August 12

On August 12, the "Agricultural Wholesale Price 200 Index" stood at 114.43, marking a 0.16-point increase from the previous day, according to monitoring data. The "Vegetable Basket" product wholesale price index reached 114.75, up 0.20 points from the prior day.

As of 2:00 PM on the same day, the national average wholesale price for pork was 15.85 yuan per kilogram, rising 0.8% from the previous day. Beef settled at 67.42 yuan per kilogram, unchanged from the day before. Mutton edged up 0.5% to 65.08 yuan per kilogram. Eggs increased by 0.6% to 10.00 yuan per kilogram, while white-feathered chicken rose 0.4% to 17.25 yuan per kilogram.

The average price of 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.50 yuan per kilogram, up 0.4% from the previous day. The average price of six key monitored fruits was 6.91 yuan per kilogram, climbing 0.9%. For aquatic products, crucian carp hit 20.31 yuan per kilogram, up 0.1%; carp rose 0.8% to 14.45 yuan per kilogram; silver carp increased 0.5% to 10.50 yuan per kilogram; and large ribbon fish fell 1.1% to 41.13 yuan per kilogram.

Among the 46 key monitored agricultural wholesale products, the top five price gainers compared to the previous day were pineapple (up 4.6%), giant peak grape (up 2.6%), rape (up 2.3%), spinach (up 2.3%), and flat mushroom (up 2.2%). The top five price decliners were watermelon (down 4.7%), large yellow croaker (down 2.4%), banana (down 2.1%), onion (down 1.9%), and large ribbon fish (down 1.1%).
