May 29

Beng Kuang (BEZ.SI) saw its stock price surge 5.71% during intraday trading on Friday, reflecting significant investor interest in the marine infrastructure company.

The sharp rise followed the company's issuance of 57.1 million shares at S$0.35 per share to ISUSTAINABILITY and SPPG, which was part of the transaction to acquire the remaining 49% stake in Asian Sealand Offshore and Marine. With this move, Asian Sealand has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Beng Kuang, as confirmed in a filing with the Singapore Exchange. The remaining cash consideration of S$20.0 million for the acquisition is set to be concluded, further solidifying the deal's completion.
