SMBC Nikko Securities has increased SoftBank Group's target stock price from 5,200 yen to 8,500 yen. This adjustment reflects the recent rise in the share price of ARM Holdings, in which SoftBank holds approximately 90%. Analysts at SMBC Nikko Securities noted that an initial public offering by OpenAI could also help reduce the long-standing valuation discount of the Japanese company.
