CNGR (02579) has announced its intention to initiate foreign exchange and commodity hedging activities. This move aims to effectively mitigate operational and financial risks arising from fluctuations in exchange rates, reduce foreign exchange losses, and enhance the efficiency of foreign currency fund utilization. Additionally, it seeks to guard against market risks associated with changes in commodity prices, thereby minimizing the impact of material price volatility on the company's regular operations. The maximum contract value for foreign exchange hedging transactions undertaken by the company and its subsidiaries at any single trading day is expected not to exceed RMB 15 billion or its equivalent in foreign currencies. For commodity hedging, the upper limit for margin and premium payments is projected to be no more than RMB 7 billion or its equivalent, with funds under this margin quota being reusable. The outstanding margin and premium amount at any given time will not exceed the approved limit.
