Japanese stocks are likely to head lower amidst ongoing uncertainty regarding the conflict in Iran, following a drop in US technology shares overnight. Futures on the Nikkei index traded on the Singapore Exchange fell 1.7%, settling at 63,930 points.
Investors are closely monitoring crude oil prices and developments in the Middle East after Saudi Arabia reported intercepting a drone launched by an Iran-backed militia from Iraq towards the kingdom's oil facilities. On Monday, the Nikkei index had closed 0.5% higher, reaching 64,931.19 points.
