Shares of MEITU (01357) have surged more than 6%. At the time of reporting, the stock was up 5.25% to HK$5.01, with a trading volume of HK$367 million.

This movement follows the company's release of a promotional video titled "Confidential File" on June 9th, which announced that the 2026 MEITU Imaging Festival will be held in Xiamen on June 17th. The theme for this year's event is "Your AI Imaging Team is Ready."

The Imaging Festival is the company's annual flagship product launch event, initiated in 2022. It serves as a key platform for MEITU to showcase its innovation capabilities in AI imaging applications. Several of the company's major products, including Wink, Meitu Design Studio, Kaipai, and RoboNeo, were originally unveiled at past Imaging Festivals.

In addition, analysts have highlighted the company's accelerated progress in integrating productivity-focused AI agents into user workflows, which is driving increased consumption of computing power points.

According to a recent company announcement, the number of paying users for lifestyle scenario products increased by 27% year-over-year to 15.56 million as of March, while the average revenue per user saw a modest increase of approximately 5%.

Market observers express optimism regarding the steady growth trend in paying users driven by continuous product iteration and the potential for ARPU enhancement through the company's overseas expansion efforts.
