Shares of ASX Ltd surged 5.08% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the release of the company's full-year fiscal 2026 results that exceeded analyst expectations.
The Australian stock exchange operator reported underlying earnings per share of AU$2.758, surpassing the FactSet consensus of AU$2.735. Revenue for the 12 months ended June 30 rose to AU$1.27 billion, compared to AU$1.13 billion a year earlier and ahead of the projected AU$1.25 billion. Adjusted net income came in at AUD 536.4 million, with operating revenue of AUD 1,250 million.
Adding to investor optimism, ASX noted that its new listings pipeline is the strongest it has been in several years, signaling potential future growth. The company also reaffirmed its fiscal 2027 total expense growth guidance of 18% to 21%, and capital expenditure outlook of between AU$180 million and AU$200 million.
