BASiC Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (BASICSEMI) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with UBTECH ROBOTICS CORP LTD to jointly develop and industrialize silicon carbide (SiC) power device solutions for embodied intelligent humanoid robots.
Under the partnership, BASICSEMI will contribute its core SiC power-device technology, while UBTECH will leverage its industrialization capabilities in humanoid robotics. The collaboration targets high-performance, high-reliability SiC solutions for power management and motion-control systems, aiming to boost energy efficiency and operational precision in UBTECH’s embodied intelligent robots and advance the large-scale adoption of SiC devices in emerging intelligent-equipment applications.
Beyond product development, the two companies plan to promote intelligent semiconductor manufacturing by deploying humanoid robots on semiconductor production lines. The initiative is expected to enhance manufacturing efficiency and lower production costs through deeper integration of semiconductor processes and embodied intelligence.
The Board of BASICSEMI believes the agreement positions the company in the fast-growing humanoid-robot segment and broadens the application scope of its SiC power technologies. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities.
