CATL (03750) rose more than 7% in morning trading. By the time of writing, the stock was up 5.17%, trading at HK$692 with a turnover of HK$1.62 billion. Recently, the 601MWh large-scale energy storage project, a collaboration between Eastern Europe's well-known company Solarpro Holding and CATL, has been successfully connected to the grid and put into operation in Bulgaria. After commissioning, this project increases the local national energy storage installed capacity by approximately 15%, significantly raising the proportion of wind and solar energy. Based on this cooperation, Solarpro Holding and CATL have reached a long-term partnership intention, planning to further expand the scale of energy storage projects in the next two years. It is worth noting that on April 27, CATL officially announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement on sodium-ion battery energy storage with Hyposolar. The two parties have agreed on a three-year order for 60GWh of sodium-ion batteries. This is the largest sodium-ion battery order globally to date, marking the accelerated industrialization of sodium batteries into a new phase of large-scale application. Huatai Securities believes that at the current stage, the core observation variable for the sodium battery industry has shifted from "focusing on technological breakthroughs" to "focusing on order fulfillment and capacity realization."
