Xinyi Glass Releases 2025 ESG Report: RMB 20.83 Billion Revenue, 46.2 GWh Renewable Power Usage

Xinyi Glass (00868) published its tenth Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing 2025 operating results, sustainability milestones and forward-looking climate strategies.

Financial Highlights • Operating income reached RMB 20.83 billion, with net profit at RMB 2.73 billion. • Gross profit amounted to RMB 6.48 billion, translating into a gross margin of 31.1%; net margin stood at 13.1%. • Net cash generated from operating activities totalled RMB 5.32 billion; dividend payout ratio was 49.8%.

ESG Governance and Compliance • A three-tier governance model is led by the Board, supported by a management committee and functional working groups; ESG KPIs account for up to 55 % of annual performance appraisals. • All 2025 ESG disclosures align with SEHK ESG Code, GRI Standards, TCFD recommendations and IFRS S2 guidance.

Environmental Performance • Scope 1 greenhouse-gas emissions were 5.77 million tonnes of CO₂e; Scope 2 emissions were 0.43 million tonnes. • Renewable energy consumption reached 46.20 GWh, lifting the usage ratio to 5.10 %. • Non-hazardous-waste recycling rate hit 72.0 %, while hazardous-waste treatment achieved 100 % compliance. • One new “green factory” certification was obtained; all industrial parks hold ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 certifications.

Climate Strategy • Carbon-management leadership team established; the group targets carbon neutrality by 2060 and total emissions to remain at a “reasonable level” after 2030. • Float-glass lines operate entirely on natural gas; distributed solar and waste-heat projects generated 2.2 % and 2.9 % of total energy respectively. • Energy-efficiency projects—including nitrogen-generation upgrades and smart-control centres—saved an estimated 210,000 kWh electricity and 47,000 tonnes CO₂e annually.

Social Indicators • Workforce totalled 16,057, with an employee-satisfaction score of 83/100 and a retention rate of 71 %. • Women represented 54 % of clerical staff and 11 % of senior management; female employees holding professional titles reached 10 %. • Training coverage was 99.9 %, delivering 94,716 hours across 3,522 sessions. • No work-related fatalities were recorded; occupational-safety training coverage remained at 100 %.

Supply Chain & Ethics • 100 % of suppliers signed integrity agreements; green-procurement commitment ratio stood at 28 %. • Two corruption cases were identified and closed during the year, maintaining a 100 % resolution rate.

Community Engagement • Charitable donations totalled RMB 10.86 million, including RMB 3.28 million for the Xinyi Education Fund benefitting 821 students. • Employees contributed 1,903 volunteer hours across 1,072 participants.

Product & Innovation • Launch of Ice Blue IB71 float glass and expanded SOLACO and SOLAR-X automotive glass lines underscore commitment to energy-saving products. • Four new carbon-footprint product certifications and five company-level green-product accreditations were secured in 2025.

Outlook The Board re-affirmed that robust ESG performance is integral to long-term resilience and indicated ongoing investment in low-carbon technology, supply-chain transparency, and stakeholder engagement.
