However, Duan added, "I'm not entirely clear on the specifics, as it's been a long time since we last met."

This development follows Huang's earlier decision to step down as chairman of PDD Holdings Inc. At the time of his resignation, Huang expressed his intention to "explore what lies ahead on the road ten years from now."

Duan Yongping, who once brought Huang to Warren Buffett's famous charity lunch and provided crucial support during his entrepreneurial journey, served as a key angel investor when Huang founded PDD Holdings Inc.
